![]() By, Brielle and Ellie Did you know that narwhals are endangered? First, narwhals are mammals. Their tusks can grow 10 feet long. They live in Canada, Norway, and Russia. Their bodies can grow up to 17 feet long! There are many things that threaten narwhals. In their habitats there are a lot of dangerous spills. The spills are oil and gasoline. The fuel comes from boats and ships that crash and all of the gasoline spills out of them. The fuel gets in the ocean and it kills the narwhals. There is also a lot of ocean noise. This noise harms them when they are trying to communicate with each other. The noise comes from the military, shipping, construction, and factories. You can help narwhals by adopting a narwhal or you can donate to charities that help narwhals like WWF, or World Wildlife Fund. You can also get a Visa WWF card and every time someone gets one of the accounts, Bank of America will donate $100 to WWF. Narwhals are on the top of the food chain so try to help the narwhals from getting extinct!
