The boy of a pig is comprised of the stomach, shoulders, and legs. The stomach area is called the “lion belly.” The shoulders are the picrics. Genders Male pigs are called boars. A female pig is called a gilt or sow. A sow gives birth to litter of about 7 to 12 piglets. They usually have about two litters per year. Fun Facts Pigs are the 4th smartest animal on the planet. Brave pigs have been known to save human lives. Pigs communicate with other pigs. They are approximately three times smarter than dogs. Pigs have even been taught to play video games. The cottontail rabbits’ colors are white, brown, gray, and black. What do cottontail rabbits eat? In warmer seasons, cottontail rabbits will eat weeds, grass, clover, wildflowers and plants. When colder weather comes, cottontail rabbits will eat twigs and plants. In summer, they will eat carrots and sometimes even other smaller rabbits. How long do these rabbits live? Leopard seals are also called sea leopards. This animal can swim up to 24 mph. The largest has measured up to 20 ft long. Leopard seals cannot breathe water like fish. The narwhal's tusk is not a unicorn horn. It’s believed to be a tooth. The tusk is usually twisted counter-clockwise. It also has a hollow inside. A narwhal’s tusk can be used as jousting weapon for attracting females. Narwhals are seen in the icy waters of the Arctic seas. In the winter time narwhals will dive deep under the ice in groups of 5 to 10 mammals. In the summer, they tend to migrate to shallow ice free waters. Then they form a bigger pod of narwhals. This ocean animal feeds on flatfish, cod, shrimp, gonatus squid and forms of benthic prey. Narwhal's will dive a distance known to be 5,000 feet deep. That’s the deepest narwhals can go. A narwhal uses echolocation to find its prey and knows if objects are blocking its path. Narwhal's are unique creatures inside and out. After all, they are the unicorns of the sea.
