![]() By: Celia Frysinger & Taryn Mariano Reptiles are very interesting creatures. Physical Features Did you know most reptiles have 4 limbs? Also, reptiles only have scales, not feathers or fur. Snakes are the only reptiles that do not have limbs. Reptiles range in size. Some are small and some are very large. There are a few species of snakes and lizards that are less than 2 inches long. The biggest crocodile can get to be more than 30 feet. Where Reptiles Live Reptiles live all over the world in warm places. They can be found on land in trees, underground tunnels, and in water. Alligators and crocodiles spend most of their time in the water. Reptile Senses Reptiles use their senses like humans. They taste and smell with special organs in their mouth and nose. Snakes and turtles have trouble hearing. Some reptiles have poor eyesight. Reptiles are very interesting creatures!
